The New Rules of Network Marketing Team Building

If you're looking to leverage your time, money, and effort to buid a business I'm going to give you three big reasons why you need to know these new rules of network marketing team building.

Look at your life and think about what is missing. . . Is it money? Education or knowledge. Time. Energy. What do you think is missing? For me it was people. I was missing people.

I started in business in January 2006 with absolutely no game plan for success.

Not just no game plan, I had no stinking clue how to run a business.

I had a very rough idea about what I wanted as a result of being in business: I wanted to get rich, I wanted to drive a new car, I wanted to be able to send my kid off to a good college

But I had no clue how I would achieve success.

There were many things I wanted, but the fact remained. . . I had no logical route toward achieving my dreams.

So what happened?

Well my business floundered and I went into debt. I worked like a dog to make my Internet business work, but nothing I did ever seemed to work. I'd spend hours online just staring at the screen wondering what to do next.

What did I need? I needed a game plan. I needed a recipe to follow that would lead me from where I was to where I wanted to go.

I needed leverage: I needed leverage of my knowledge, my time, my energy, and my money.

When you have more money going out of than coming in to your business, guess what you've got? You've got a recipe for a failed business.
So how do you go from losing money every month to making a profit? Well I built a website and I put together a team of "likeminded" individuals who want to achieve success just as badly as I do.

That is a very important concept - likeminded individuals are those you want to build the core of your network marketing business around.
Why you ask?

Because you want to surround yourself with winners, people whom know or have a burning desire to know the same "success recipe" as you, and folks who can teach you the same recipe.

So when you're putting together your network marketing team, and building the various legs of your downline, sponsoring people who have no business in business is an exercise in frustration and futility.

I hate to say it but there are people who should not be in business. They don't have the drive to learn, the intelligence to apply knowledge, they make tons of excuses. Yada, yada, yada.

Here are the steps you need to take in your network marketing team building:

  • Spend only what you plan to earn back from month to month. What this means. . . as you build your business you only build it as quickly as you have money made from the month before to reinvest back into the business. There are many people who will push you to use your credit cards and "leverage your credit." This is a viable option, but start small and work your way into competence with each tool you use in your network marketing arsenal.

  • Align yourself with a network marketing team that 1) Knows what they're doing 2) Encourages you to be in profit quickly and has a very precise game plan to get you into profit quick. If you have any question about what your prospective team's commitment to you, it is your responsibility to ask. "Ask first, don't assume."

  • Work with only people whom you know and trust. There have been several times I have requested marketing or life coaching from someone only to find that they and I didn't "click" on a personal level. It's important for you to feel an instant sense of rapport with someone before you every get into a business relationship with them.

Jumping into "bed" with a client whom you do not relate to is to open up a really stinky bag of worms.
