How
To Get Backlinks to Your Articles?
Backlinks
are important for boosting the Google rating of your articles, or your
website, because they transfer link weight, and drive traffic to your
articles. Backlinks
to your articles can be made in a number of different ways.
Some of my articles have over
a hundred backlinks leading to them. There are many different ways
to make
backlinks to your articles.
You can make backlinks
from social bookmarking sites, social networking sites, from other
paid article writing sites like Triond, or you can submit your article
URL to different search engines.
You can also make backlinks
by submitting your RSS
feed to multiple sites at once, on a service like feedping.com.
I make Facebook pages about articles in a particular category, and post
links to my articles from there, for example, my Facebook page:
Writing for profit is on the first page of a Google search (in
Australia), on writing for profit. It has backlinks
to my articles related to writing, also advertises my referral
link.
I have an RSS
feed with links
to my articles on IM Faceplate, and Squidoo, among other places.
Once you set up an RSS
feed, it updates itself, as you publish, making
automatic backlinks to your articles.
I publish short blogs on Sidetick which link
back to my articles, but the way I make the most backlinks
to my articles is with a free downloadable browser application
called Add this.
Add this makes it easy to make quick
backlinks from hundreds of sites to your articles, or website, from
sites like Twitter, Stumble Upon, Digg, Delicious, Myspace etc.
You have to do it one at a time, which is good anyway, because Google
prefers to see a gradual increase in the amount of
backlinks leading to your articles.
Before you go to all that trouble, you may want to make sure that your
article is on the first page of Google already, or close to it, because
if you are on the tenth page, no amount of backlinks
will help you get on the first.
Backlinks
are just one Google algorithm you need to consider, take a look at
this article on title choice for more SEO tips.
