JANUARY 2008 DUMPSITE OVER ALL REPORT

Another year has pass and we are now facing another year of God’s abundance because that is what He has promise to us this year……He will bless us lets just continue to flow in the year of God’s abundance….Let’s be faithful to do the work that He has put in our hands…..with integrity and surely we will all be bless this year…Praise the Living God!!!

DUMPSITE DAYCARE CENTER REPORT:

We are thankful to the Lord for another great year has come for this ministry. For the past years God has been blessing us and has been guiding us in whatever things that had happened, He is always there for us and He never leave us nor forsake us.

This month we praise the Living God for His continued grace and blessing upon this ministry. Last January 7, 2008 we had resumed our daycare class after we had our Christmas vacation and praise God because the students has still the eagerness to study although a few of teacher Cheche Calamba's students didn't come on the said date but still we thank the Lord that on the following days the number of attendance turned well already since everytime that the number of attendance decreases Grace, Necel and the teachers would go to the students homes to have a follow-ups for them.

We also thank the Lord that our teachers had attended the monthly meeting for the Department of Social Welfare last January 11, 2008 since we were already part of the Non Government Organization group of Daycare workers. We thank the Lord for that privilege.

This last January 24-25, 2008 were the 4th Examination Period of the school and we praise the Lord that He gives wisdom and knowledge to the students so that they ca be able to answer the test easily. Although in teacher Garcia’s class there were two students who were not able to take the exams these were Client Jade Cañete who said that the reason why he was not able to take the exams his cousin died and they need to be there at his burial and the other one Dve Dhynzl Augusto wasn’t able to take the exam because he was ill and was admitted to the hospital. Teacher Garcia just let them take the exam when they got back to school. We thank the Lord that the students who showed good progress in their studies before maintained their performance in school and some had just showed some progress this months were Renzo Ecoy and Jed Aiza Heyrosa for teacher Garcia’s class and Rolando Orbiso and Bonifacio Fuentes for teacher Calamba’s class. We continue to pray to the living God that the progress of these students would continue until they go to grade schools.

DUMPSITE CHILDREN CHURCH REPORT:

After our Christmas party here at the dump we took a break since its Christmas time. Rosalyn Fajardo and Grace Nuñez went home to Bohol and celebrated Christmas there with their love ones.

January 12, 2008 we resumed our Saturday Activity at the dumpsite and although only few children came to join and fellowship with us still we praise the Lord that it was a successful one. Then this month also there were some Saturdays that we've experience heavy rains which cause a few attendances. The children can't come to the church when it's raining so hard because they will get wet and a lot of them don't have umbrellas to protect them from the rain but we praise the Lord that this past Saturdays we already had a good weather and the normal number of children attending the fellowship went back to normal again.

SPONSORED STUDENTS REPORT:

This month the sponsored students had also resumed their regular classes after they had Christmas vacation and they were doing some reviews for the examination period which was last January 15-16 and 22, 2008. These were both for grade school and high school students and because of this they had their deadlines for the school fees and we praise the Lord that we are able to pay their school fees. We thank the Lord that He meets the needs so that we can be able to pay for the fees. We were also able to buy for this month their school supplies and distributed it Saturday after the children church last January 27, 2008. Praise the Lord that He blesses this ministry and meets the financial needs.

Then while paying their fees in school we were able to do follow-ups with them and sad to say we had some sponsored students who stop from their studies but we still talk to the parents and tell them to encourage their children to go back to school next year, those who stop from their studies where replace by another child since we had many children under our waiting list who were faithfully waiting to be helped for their studies and when they’ve learn that they were replace to the list of sponsored students they were very happy and promise to really do well in school.

DUMPSITE FEEDING MINISTRY REPORT:

This month after we had our Christmas vacation we resumed our regular Saturday activity at the dump and we had the same attendance during our children church this month for the same reason that this past few Saturdays we had experience a heavy rain that causes a few attendance but the last few Saturdays of this month were back to normal number of children because we had a good weather already. We praise the Lord for that……This month also since Ptra. Esther Villa works with us at the dumpsite ministry specifically in the church she was also helping us during Saturday, she was the one who tell the children some good bible stories and teaches them some new songs, she was using some techniques so that the attention of the children would only focus on her and that she will not be disturbed. The children also respect and treat her like their own grandmother. Some of the children were bringing bibles and Ptra. Villa teaches them how to use it. The youth continue to assist us in the distribution of foods and washing the plates after the feeding program. We thank the Lord that He always supplies our needs for the feeding program.

DUMPSITE CHURCH REPORT (LIFE CENTER FELLOWSHIP:

We give God the glory and honor for answering our prayers that He will send us someone that is faithful and committed to helped and pastor the church here at the dumpsite area. We thank the Lord that He sent Ptra.Esther Villa who will work as pastor at the Dumpsite church and all the outreaches in the neighboring area. She will be assisted by Sis. Grace Nuñez. The people were happy that the bible studies that were not done by Ptr Ronil was now back to normal again, they were still in the stage of encouraging the people who feel weak because of the trials encountered by the dumpsite church. They also done some reschedules of the bible studies specially at Mahayhay place instead of doing it every Monday evening this will be done Wednesday afternoon 4 p.m. so that they can still attend the women’s intercessory which was every Monday afternoon since these two were part of the group also. We also thank the Lord that they had put up a schedule of bible study at the dumpsite area again held at Sister Rosa Añero’s house every Friday evening after they had their prayer meeting in the afternoon of Friday.

The youth also continue to grow and actively joined the fellowship and last January 27, 2008 during their Sunday service the youth presented a special number through singing before the word of God was being shared and they said that they will do it every Sunday. They were also active in their youth fellowship every afternoon of Sunday and also do their praise and worship practice and special number practice every Saturday after the feeding program.

PIGLET DISPERSAL REPORT:

We also praise the Lord for His continued blessing upon the piglet dispersal program. This month the pigs that were being taken care of by the two families of the parents of our sponsored students have now been prepared for breeding. These were the pigs of the family of Casio and Hayahay. These were also our outreaches in Mactan Center and we are hoping and praying that the condition of the pig's health would be alright. We thank the Lord for blessing these families and we continue to pray that through this program we can help them with their resources or income. We need more piglets to helped the poor families at the dumpsite the cost of a piglet now is $50.00 dollors each.

ISLAND MINISTRY REPORT:

Pastor Miraluna Mahusay

And the island she is working as

pioneering church planter

We continue to praise God for blessing the Island Ministry this month. In the Island of Gilutongan God has continued to bless the Ministry with Ptra. Miralona Mahusay. She praise the Lord that the number of bible studies increases and so with the attendance even the neighbors of the houses where they held their bible study had joined in their service. Some attend even if they are not part of our sponsorship and micro business ministry; they just love to hear the word of God. Some bible study were done afternoon and evening depending on the available time of the people, the visitation and prayer also continues and is doing well so as the Saturday music practice in the evening and Sunday church service. The feeding also every Sunday afternoon was bless by the Lord and it is growing in numbers and we praise the Lord 250 children hear the gospel learn to sing and taught to pray. God never fails.

We also praise the Lord that the work in the Island of Pangan-an was doing well. The regular schedules like prayer meeting every Wednesday, evangelism and intercessory every Thursday, visitation and follow-up every Friday, bible study at Ibabao Pangan-an every Saturday and morning service every Sunday were doing well. Ptr. Domingo was thankful for God’s intervention when his family was in the midst of trial God is really good to him. He learns a lot of things even in the ministry there are persecution but God provide a way for him to survive. Last January 26, 2008 he was married and God blessed him with a good and supportive wife. He praise the Lord that now that he is married his wife can handle the children Sunday school which was very difficult for him to do before. He thanked the Lord for providing everything in his marriage and also thanked all the pastors and people who are used by God to provide for his needs for the wedding.

We continue to give God the glory for blessing also the work in the Island of Baring with Ptr. Fortunato Arong as the one handling it. He was thankful that the regular schedules like evangelism and intercession every Monday afternoon, house to house evangelism every Tuesday and Wednesday and morning service and a new opened bible study in Causwagan every afternoon were doing well. He was also thankful for the opportunity to share the gospel to his relatives who were not yet in Christ. As of now he is asking for prayer for his relative named Matias and his family who now showed interest in the word of God.

We praise the Lord that Ptr. Eutiquio Sagarino our Island church planting overseer has doing well in visiting and assisting our work. Last January 10, 2008 he was able to visit the Island of Baring and minister there. Also he still assists our Mactan bible study and helps encourage our dumpsite church members.

DROP IN CENTER: Report by Mark Cuenca

Mark 9:37 "When you welcome even a child because of me, you welcome me. And when you welcome me, you welcome the one who sent me."

The mandate from God to start a Drop in Center was in God's timing. Hungry children on the streets can have now food, take a bath, change there clothes, wear a slippers. Love and care is what the children feel.44 children come everyday.

Arnel is a six year old boy an orphan has another three brothers a a sister. when he first time come to the drop in center with other street children he was so shy.

AND WAS PRIVELEDGE TO TALK TO HIM TRYING TO GET HIS CONFIDENCE. I SAID LOVINGLY AND FATHERLY

ASHAMED BUT THIS TIME BECAUSE I AM

VERY HUNGRY I COME BACK.

Inday has a younger sister

Mother and father run away they

Stay together in there little cardboard home.

They all come to the drop in center

For there food. little inday carry

this plastic sack to get garbage's

so that they will survive.

Can we give this children Love and

Hope.Help us to feed the children,

Cloth them, give then shelter and send them

to school.
